The Donaldson Group, a sixth-generation family business in timber and housebuilding, set out to modernise its brand to match its ambitions for growth. With insights from a brand audit, research and workshops, we developed a refreshed brand that reflects the Group’s purpose and unites its team.
A key step was simplifying the name—dropping ‘and sons’—to signal a more inclusive, progressive direction. We then evolved the brand architecture, identity and messaging, rolling out a cohesive system across all key touchpoints, including the website.
To support the Group’s acquisition strategy, we also created a clear portfolio approach to align acquired brands under a unified, powerful identity.
